Social Distancing Country
After the change in government advice, Hotels.com coronavirus restrictions are easing and bookings are being accepted again, but people are still wary about getting on a plane and heading out of Britain. If that sounds like you, a getaway closer to home might be a way of getting the relaxing break you deserve and calming the anxiety. On Hotels.com, you’ll find the best accommodation and rates the UK countryside has to offer.
Dorset is perfect for anyone wanting to get a taste of that quaint country life. It’s three hours away from London on England’s South West coast which makes it an ideal destination for a long weekend away. This is a walker’s paradise with miles of trail along the dramatic Jurassic Coast that will deliver sublime views.
Pembrokeshire is one of Wales’ most popular tourist destinations because it’s stunning scenery. It’s the perfect place to slow life down and unwind as you explore hidden bays and some of Britain’s best beaches. There are plenty of secluded shorelines to visit if you stay away from the most well-known spots and it’ll be easy to keep your distance from the odd dog walker. Be sure to check Visit Wales for the latest Welsh Government advice as they are re-opening at a different schedule.
If all you want is to leave everything behind and not see a soul, you could always book a secluded cottage in Bath and relax in the middle of nowhere. You’ll walk through verdant countryside and sit by a log fire in the evening for a true country living feel.
Whatever socially distanced break you choose to take you mind of the terrible start to 2020, Hotels.com has a massive selection of isolated accommodation.
